I have made two trips to Costa Rica this year for dental work and I have saved $8,100 plus Martha & I had a great dental vacation in the tropics.

When I returned, I started a blog on Costa Rica dental implants with photos and our story.

We had a great trip and I am very impressed with the dental care I received.

Free Stuff

I have discovered a website where they gather free offers that businesses make and offer them up to it’s members. They offer is as a free service where you get 5 free offers at a time, or you can subscribe as a Member for $9.95/month and get access to hundreds of free offers.

I thought this was a really good deal and I wanted to let anyone know who happens to read this.

I hear many people talk and write about “Network Marketing”, aka NWM or MLM, and most of what I hear and see is about as wrong as wrong can get.

The topic certainly brings up passionate discussions, no doubt. I think it’s because many people have “tried” NWM and when they were not successful in their venture, they blame NWM.

I’ve been affiliated with NWM since May 1995, and it’s been my experience that it works for some and doesn’t for some others, but the real lesson, the hidden lesson, if I can call it that, is that NWM is not a THING that works or doesn’t.

It’s like blaming the gun for an armed robbery. It’s not the gun that performed the robbery, and it is not NWM, or MLM, that “made it” or that “failed”. It was the people who performed.

I find it interesting that people blame MLM when THEY fail, yet they don’t blame college when THEY flunk out, or quit. They don’t blame their job when THEY get fired or quit. Yet, somehow this THING called MLM or NWM is to blame when anyone fails, or quits.

I guess it’s easy to blame someTHING when that THING cannot defend itself or talk back.

The reality is that NWM is about the most perfect business model available to anyone starting out in business. The education that is attainable is top-notch. And that’s not just my opinion. It’s also the opinion of others such as Donald Trump, Robert Kiyosaki and Warren Buffet. In fact, they SUGGEST it as the best source to get street-smart, personal, hands on coaching and education about business. They said it’s the best bang for the buck.

The reason it is so valuable is because it is a “street smart” education, meaning it takes place in the real world, with real people and with real results.

Just because a person doesn’t like the results that THEY got, doesn’t mean the lessons aren’t valuable. One of the biggest things a student of a traditional education must learn is that failing at a single task is not the same thing as failing totally.

In the world of business, failing is a necessary evil that must be passed through on the way to success. I would much rather “fail” at a single task in NWM than “fail” at a traditional business where I might lose thousands or hundreds of thousands of dollars. Failing in MLM is usually mostly about losing some time and perhaps a small amount of money.

The lesson is most always much, much more valuable than the loss, but of course, that depends on the person. Someone who fails at an MLM task, or a few of them, has the choice as to how they will view that loss. If they are bitter about their loss, they can easily miss the value in the lesson and THNK that they failed.

The only way they could really fail is if that is their view of it and they miss the lesson.

I’ve failed way more times than I’ve succeeded in NWM since 1995, but the few successes I have had yave yielded a full-time income for over 11 years now. And it’s not the typical “linear” income that comes from a job where I used to trade hours for money.

This income I have today is known as “residual income”, meaning it comes in month after month, regardless of whether I continue to work or not.

Because I kept getting back up each time I was knocked down and because I did not quit when I met setback, I have succeeded financially much, much more than I ever could at a job.

I not only measure my success in terms of income, but there is actually a much better and even more valuable thing I’ve gained with NWM income, i.e. my time. I have my time. I set my own schedule, I choose WHEN I will work and WHEN I will not work. I choose who I will work with and who I will not.

That personal freedom is why I left the comforts of a job to face the risk and uncertainties of starting a NWM business. One of the cool parts is that a person does not have to “risk” that much, and they can start a NWM business while they still have job income. In fact, that’s the best way to do it.

I hope these ideas have helped put some of the myths about NWM and MLM to rest.

There is a great, and I must admit, very funny video that pokes fun at the people who think that NWM is a “pyramid thing”. For a great lesson and some chuckles that the NWM person will truly get a kick out of, watch the video at http://www.grossinternational.com

Hello Online Shoppers,

We buy our groceries online, our household items, and other goods, online. Once I got used to how it works, now I wouldn’t want to return to fighting traffic, lines, etc.

The good news is that companies are willing to go after the online customer who wants to order online and have products brought to them.

That alone is good enough, but then along comes a company who is willing to share in the revenue by giving points for purchases. That just made sense to us, so we started shopping at companies that gave us these incentives and we love it.

Free enterprise is for the few. It has risk, uncertainty, there is no plan, no structure, no charted course to follow. This is unsettling to many people.

There is typically no source of knowledge to tap into, no committee to hide in or take comfort with. Decisions must be made and consequences lived with.

The people of free enterprise, business owners, earn what they are worth, exactly what they are worth – no more and no less. So brutally honest is this “pay scale” that many can’t take it and yet many love it.

If you are a free-enterpriser at heart, none of this scares you. It doesn’t even concern you. In fact, you see it as exciting. It’s a sign of hope, in fact, that there remains justice in this world of people who ‘expect’ or feel ‘entitled to’ stuff.

Freedom is not earned, and the business owner knows this, just as a soldier or a police officer knows it.

I will talk and write about the freedom of the individual on this blog in future days. There needs to be more people who understand these issues because there are those who would like to see less free enterprise and more dependency in the population.

Those people scare me, not in the sense of fear, but in the sense that too many of us Americans have not carried the torch of freedom forward enough so that people could not be so ill informed.

Producers need to be free so they can produce an abundance so that there will be enough for the less fortunate. Not so that welfare can exist, but so that opportunity can thrive.

Let’s carry that torch forward folks! Write, talk, do whatever it takes to pay forward your blessings so that others can benefit as you do as a free-enterpriser!
